OverviewLearning languages broadens students’ horizons about the personal, social, cultural and employment opportunities that are available in an increasingly interconnected and interdependent world. To provide students with a broad understanding of the Spanish language, this course will include studies of the language itself as well as students developing an understanding about the role of language and culture in communication and will incorporate historical, social, and cultural aspects of Spanish speaking countries. This is a period of language exploration, vocabulary expansion and experimentation with different modes of communication (for example, digital media, collaborative performance, and group discussions).
